But Why?

God is reaching out to those right now who are asking "but why?"... Those who long for answers about why something in the past went the way it did. It seems like it didn't turn out right or the way it was supposed to. I see a picture of someone on their knees on the dirt by a pile of leaves, twigs, dried petals, and seeds where a small rosebush used to be. They are wondering why God would allow this to wither. He speaks tenderly saying, "If your conversations with me ask of the past, you are FEEDING the very pain I want to heal in you. By keeping your thoughts fixed on the pain on the past, you are leaving open those wounds. Ask Me instead about your future. Ask Me about NOW. Ask Me where I am taking you, how I am healing you, and the glorious plans I have for the future. You have lived but a blink in eternity. I can rebuild all that you love and beyond. Do not be angry with Me as though I wanted your pain or turned a blind eye to your suffering. You cannot understand all that has happened, even if I were to explain it. Just trust that I have dealt the good...not the wound. Yet I will use it all. Just as I have given you good in the past, though it may have wilted, it is merely the time between the wilting and the dropping of many seeds. Once one kernel of wheat dies, it plants the seeds for many times over the blessing that it was. So turn your focus. Drop your guard and your anger enough to hear Me. Hear what I am doing and how I am giving you more than you ever had to begin with...Like Jonah, I'm turning around the loss of something (very small in comparison) to launch you into the glory I have made you for and the healing of not only your own heart but many many more besides..." “But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. Jonah had gone out and sat down at a place east of the city. There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city. Then the Lord God provided a leafy plant and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the plant. But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the plant so that it withered. When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah’s head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, “It would be better for me to die than to live.” But God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?” “It is,” he said. “And I’m so angry I wish I were dead.” But the Lord said, “You have been concerned about this plant, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”” ‭‭Jonah‬ ‭4:1, 5-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬ "Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." John 12:24
